Mind Mapping and the Client Centred Approach

At Apollo Driving School we are introducing Mind Mapping to involve the pupils more in their learning in driving lessons. So don’t be surprised if your driving instructor asks you what you want to do today in your driving lesson. After choosing a topic, you may be asked how much you already know about it, sometimes it’s quite a lot.

The idea of mind mapping is to assess the current knowledge level of a pupil and to actively involve them in the learning process. The advantage of a mind map is it concentrates the learner on a given problem. You’ll be surprised at how much you know in driving already.

It’s all part or the client centred approach as laid down by the National Standards for drivers, riders and trainers.
