What standards do Apollo uphold? Apollo Driving School upholds the following Code of Conduct:
Adhere to Apollo Driving School's terms and conditions (available on request). Do Apollo teach further driving courses other than Apollo are Assessors for the a2om BTEC in Driving Science equivalent to a GCSE accredited by Edexcel On the road: Training that addresses the importance of integrating the right attitude with car control skills. Over five modules (one post test) you'll also cover night time and motorway driving, risk management and decision making skills. These will not only make you safer but also more likely to pass first time. Off the road: You'll have access to award winning e-learning systems; a2om highway. These are designed to help develop your mental fitness for driving using specific motoring scenarios that will ultimately make you more skilful on the roads. Assessement: To complete each module, you must successffully pass a combination of offline and in-car assessments. You are allowed unlimited retakes and will be advised by your instructor when they think you are ready for assessment. DIAmond Accredited Taxi and Private Hire Driver Training Course. (DATT registered) You may be aware that the national pass rate for the DSA taxi assessment last year was 50.9% (Jan07 to Dec 07 latest stats.)and that two thirds of those who didn't pass received serious or dangerous faults. It's worth noting here that just one serious or dangerous fault would be enough to fail a learner test! This pass rate is only slightly higher than the learner rate and is probably due to the fact that as professionals, taxi drivers do not see the need for training - unfortunately the opposite is true. Any driver after a period of time develops habits, not all good, and would probably not pass the standard driving test again without at least some refresher training.
